Cortina d’Ampezzo queen of the Dolomites

The Queen of the Dolomites, so it is called Cortina d’Ampezzo, is located in the heart of the Dolomites, in a wide valley surrounded by mountains: the Tofana, the Faloria, Cristallo and the Five Towers, a unique view.

This beautiful area is a perfect destination  for those who love the mountains for the charm of the landscape and the many sports activities it offers.

In 1956 the Olympics Games were held in Cortina.

The ski season in Cortina lasts from December to April, with sunshine 8 out of 10 days.
115 km of well-groomed slopes, linked by modern lift facilities and a free of charge ski bus service. Snow conditions are guaranteed thanks to 90% coverage of snow-making facilities.

Apart from the timeless charm of downhill skiing, you can try Nordic skiing on 70km of beautiful tracks in the Nature Park, or escape to the mountain on a snowshoe excursion immersed in pure and unspoilt nature.

Cortina d’Ampezzo is not only famous for its ski slopes, but it is a paradise for hikers and climbers with a wealth of hiking trails, classic and sport climbing itineraries, and some of the most beautiful Via Ferrata routes in the Dolomites.
